First day of school. I'm ready for summer to be over and done with but I'm sad that I don't have any money AND a class on saturday because I'd loveeee to go to the Stella Natura music fest in California. Most likely wouldn't happen even if I did have money but dreaming isn't harmful. This summer was nice and sweet, we didn't get to have the ghostly muses dress camp-out but I went to some wonderful places and had fun. Goodbye to carefree drinking whenever I wanted, I'll miss you!!!!

Well it looks like I'll be going to California for a week starting tomorrow! It was a very random invite since the trip was originally planned for cower boys but the tour is going to be canceled since jake doesn't want to borrow gear/ ride and go on tour with emily. So instead we are all going to parade around doing ...things probably high off of coke, and I'm pretty sure we will be stopping at san fransisco so someone should give me forrests number...

this is to tasha: I stopped by your house today but you weren't home.

SO! My second day of school was okay. I really love my writing teacher and don't quite know about my sociology teacher yet. Printmaking will be the best class I'm pretty sure, although Alyse wasn't there...which made sitting alone awkward. I kept looking out at the door every 2 minutes and this girl with glasses and cuts all over her arm sat next to me because I think she saw the cut on mine. Or maybe not. Hah

Everyone in my sociology class seems meh (the majority of the class are boys who all play basketball), I don't like knowing that will be the ONE class forcing me into groups with people who I'd probably not want to talk to, ever. Oh wellz. Todays my birthday and that alone gives me a reason to smile, yay for getting closer to 21.

How was your day?

Usually the snow is something I really enjoy. Not today! Nothing to do, no where to go. I went on a walk right by the river and sat over the highest edge, feeling the drafty breeze was refreshing. I can say that was the highlight of the afternooon. Yesterday I took Tasha and Geoff over to Jakes to watch Ponyo ( ammmmurzing film ) on the way to his house I pulled a dangerous NOT WIDE ENOUGH turn, which forced me to drive over the barrier...shame on me ;)

My star lore book is interesting it's filled with a lot of facts about the origin of constellations and how/who conjured up names for the stars. I skipped over some of that section today, to read more on the myths behind the names. Learned a small amount about the andromeda constellation and perseus.

Heres the andromeda myth in a nut shell. Cepheus (andromedas father) and Cassiopeia (her mother) were the parents of this beautiful maiden. Cassiopeia claimed that she was the fairest of the sea nymphs, this angered Neptune and she cast a sea monster (cetus) upon the shore to destroooooy. This frightened Cassiopeia greatly which led her to ask Zeus to protect her, and in order for this to happen she had to give up Andromeda to the sea monster as a sacrifice for her own wrong doing.
